Video: A brief history of Limerick Lace, 1829 to present

Online video presentation on the history and art of Limerick Lace making. This engaging presentation will provide viewers with the opportunity to learn how this delicate and elegant lace is crafted through demonstrations; interviews with practitioners of the craft; showcasing of a variety of filling stitches; and introduction to the equipment involved in the practice.

This project is one of a series supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht to showcase elements of Ireland’s Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) as part of Heritage Week 2020.
