Project Organiser: Galway Traditional Orchestra

Online video of Galway Traditional Orchestra’s celebration of the musical ties between Ireland and Galicia.

This collaborative video recording between the orchestra and special guest performer from Galicia, Spain; Anxo Lorenzo will demonstrate the common musical themes that exist between these two strongholds of traditional musics. The shared musical history between these two Celtic nations will be demonstrated as part of a composition arranged for orchestra entitled ‘Galway to Galicia’. The online performance will highlight the cultural heritage ties between Ireland and Galicia and present Anxo’s virtuosic musical mastery alongside a performance by some of Galway’s finest young performers in an orchestral setting. This is a performance not to be missed!
